A picnic site Lipovička forest which covers the
area of 1200 hectares, hunting ground with a great
number of does, rabbits, pheasants and partridges,
deep creek-fishermen's paradise, picturesque countyside,
great number of cultural and historical monuments,
unpolluted nature all these make the local tourism
unforgetable. Ibarska road with its mullitude
of motels and restaurants completes the tourist
offer. The borough of Barajevo is one of few areas
with unpolluted environment. Barajevo has been
one of the first Belgrade boroughs to make a plan
for preservation and protection of the environment.
The first settlements in the area were built
about 500 BC, in the neolithic period. The largest
settlement covered the area of 100 hectares and
was on the archaeological locality known as "
Kremenite njive", near the local road Barajevo-Lipovica.
Illyrian, Celts and Romans inhabited this area.
